We are the Carolina Slate Belt Chapter of the Gold Prospector's Association of America (GPAA), located in Aberdeen North Carolina.
Our goal is to promote gold prospecting as a recreational activity. The people in the chapter love the outdoors and enjoy nature.
The skill level of our group is every where from the new beginner (Sour Dough) to the very seasoned "Old Timer." The people of the chapter have no problem training new people and may even let you in on their "secret" techniques.
If you are interested in gold prospecting and would like to check us out, we would love to have you!
You don't have to be a member of the GPAA to come to a meeting. We think that once you catch the "Gold Fever" you will want to become a member!
